Our Vision
Hebrew Academy of the Capital District is an enriching and welcoming school community. The school supports a diversity of Jewish practices and offers a rich curriculum taught by passionate, qualified teachers.
At HACD, we:
- Create a nurturing community where Jews of all backgrounds feel at home and connected through our shared heritage.
- Develop an outstanding integrative curriculum in General and Judaic studies, encouraging intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
- Celebrate Jewish holidays, history, and traditions; nurture a deep appreciation of Israel; teach the foundations for lifelong Torah learning.
- Inspire students to become caring citizens of the world by cherishing and living Jewish values of justice, kindness, and Tikkun Olam.
- Build the foundation for future high school and college success with essential skills, such as high-level programs, teamwork, and an emphasis on independence.
